Outreach Programme to the needy
This initiative is aimed to provide free tuition to Government school children in the rural and needy areas.
For this purpose the units of Vivekananda educational trust have identified the most vulnerable areas, in the vicinity of the Vidyalayas and have started the Vivekanandar Arivu Pasarai commemorating the Swami Vivekanandar’s 150th Jayanthi Celebrations.
The centres serve as the knowledge sharing platform with focus on rural literacy, values, patriotism and life skills.
Facilitators appointed by the Trust handle sessions to the students, in the evening time.
The Hony. Correspondents and School Management Committee Members regularly visit the centres and take stock of the proceedings.
